. . . alive through contribution!

We are a preschool in Arusha, Tanzania based in Kijenge that was founded in March 2014. We strive to take as many children as possible from the surrounding area who are in need.

We started with a small school building with only one class room. Thanks to all the generous donations we were able to rent a nicer and bigger school building. Our current building is separated into six rooms: three class rooms, the office, the kitchen and the storage room.

At the moment we have around 65 children who are being teached by four teachers. There is also Mama Isma who prepares two meals a day - porridge for breakfast and Makande and beans, Ugali or Pilau for lunch. Once a week we receive a donation of meat, so we are able to serve it with Ugali and Pilau twice a week. We make sure that our kids get a basic knowledge in English, Swahili, Mathematics and Art as well as a variety of sports.

We depend on donations to keep our project alive and it enables our school to grow so that we can help more children and give them an education. One day we hope to be independent from the irregular donations of our volunteers. This is why we are building the sponsorship program (Preschool Sponsor) for each child right now.

We also care for the future of our children after their time in our project and are always looking for people who sponsor a child (Primary School Sponsor) in order to send it to an English Medium Primary School after.
